Get to Know the Therapist
Hi! My name is Natalia and I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have been providing therapy for kids in the school setting for the past 7+ years.
Much of my work focuses on offering a safe space for kids to express their emotions and process challenges they have experienced. A primary way kids learn and communicate is through play, so I often use child-led play, puppets, games, sandtray, and expressive arts (i.e. crafts, clay, drawing, painting, writing, poetry, music, & dance) during sessions. The therapy I provide is uniquely attuned to each individual child’s interests and needs.
I want to acknowledge that raising kids, each with their own unique personality, thoughts, and emotional experiences, can come with a lot of its own challenges! Another important part of my work is to gently help caregivers uncover how their own stories, memories, and experiences have played a role in their current parenting choices. I provide a a non-judgemental lens to consider what is working and what can be changed.
I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
